I'm really quite anal...

...... about my filing.

What did you think I meant?! I know that i'm rude, but really not that rude!

Anyway, so i'm slightly worried. I just watched fariheit 9/11 with my housemates, while re-arranging all my papers and files. It only took me about three hours to arrange eight years of bank statements in
chronological order. I don't even know why it bothered me that they weren't in order, it just did. And i'm not sure how I even let it get out of order, I'm really not that kind of person.

God, I live life on the edge.

Other than bank statements, my mind today has been preoccupied about my future after i finish this June. I don't really know what i'm doing, where i'm going or anything. I wouldn't go as far as to say that I'm floating, cos i'm not, but I just can't decide how far I want to go. As it were. Oh, and Taniknis.

I have huge problems with swimming costumes, as my boobs are big and I have a long torso, so i get this embarrssing boobage popping out thing going on. Which is why i never quite got around to replacing my swimming costume when in developed a hole in it.... back in first year. It's taken me till half way through my final year to replace it! So i got a tanikni today to solve all my boobage/torso problems at once. I hope anyway, I'm going to test it by going swimming tommorow! For those of you who care, it's dark green halter neck.

You know what I found out today? Apparently, i can't get a piece of coursework back just yet because its' in Greece. I'm glad to see that my coursework is having a nice lie-about in the sun, while I'm suffering in the rain!

I can see the light....

All i can think is at 4:30pm today, i will have done seventy five percent of my degree.... as from 4:35, i shall be sitting in the union bar with the largest glass of wine i can get my hands on.

This, indeed is the light.

I mean, i still have an three hour exam to do before this light is cast upon me. Exam concerns me slightly because i've done virtually nothing, but then i remind myself that i looked at the questions on one of my second year papers and realised that i couldn't answer any of them, so i recyled loads of stuff from A level history and first year politics and still managed to construct something and get a low 2:1 for it. It'll be fine.

I just have to keep my cool, which i wasn't too hot at doing yesterday. I really did think that i might throw up, but then i met up with some course friends also doing the same exam and we talked about famous people's feet sizes (Kate Winslet has size 11 feet!!) and eased my nerves.

God, size 11. How does she get shoes to fit her?

One down, two to go.

and roll on tuesday.... please! I just want to get out of the library and be in the bar!

Actually, all i've done today is an exam, tidy my room, read Glamour and arse around. I've tried to do some reading for my Africa module that's on tuesday but i started to get lost in a myrid of details about the economic benefits of - I Am Not Joking - different types of railway routes through the Witwatersrand in 1896.

What academics choose to write about never ceases to amaze me. This is particulary the case in history where some of the most obsurce things seem to be in urgent need of research. I'm sat here trying to decide what was the strangest thing ever. God, too many of them. I did read one about Voitaire and mountains at one point, God, that was bizzare.

I digress.

The exam was ok, a bit boring really, there was nothing for me to argue about and my essays were really really short (all about three pages) and i'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I feel absolutely nothing whatsoever, usually i come out saying that was really bad or that was quite good actually, but i feel nothing - it was that bland. I'm also slightly concerned that the lack of argumentiveness and general borningness of it all means that i've done badly. Oh well, it's done now.

and i'm going to go out tonight and polish off a bottle of wine with a friend. Oh yes! one must treat self!

Still nothing

Life is very mundane right now.

I'm eating scrambled egg on toast for breakfast right now.

Seriously, all i do is: wake up, get dressed, check emails while eating breakfast, go to the library for 9 bloody am, revise, revise, revise, meet up with lorraine for lunch, back to library, revise, revise, revise, have a late afternoon coffee break with Claire, go back and do yet more revision, give up at around 7pm, go home, occassionally stop by at the red door girls, then home, sometimes go to the gym, have tea, watch telly, go to bed.

over and over and over again.

Today is going to be different. I'm meeting Claire for lunch instead of late afternoon coffee break.

Sigh. Life rocks right now. I can't wait till those exams are over.....

blah blah blah

Sorry about my complete and utter lack of originality with coming up with a title.

I'm just revising. and revising. and revising. The work that i was supposed to have done last semester is actually fastinating. Revision itself is not. I'm currently mixing the two in a laspsed attempt to pass those flipping exams, so life is a tad on the stressful side.

It'll all be over in 16 days. This thought induces both fear and relief in me. Fear because, frankly, i don't have a clue. I've not done enough work, and argh it's too close - i need more time! Relief because, when they're over, i'll have done 75% of my degree and better still, i'm having a Holiday!

I'm going to Dublin. That will be very fab and cool. It feels quite decendant having a holiday in the middle of the school year (even though i'm not at school) but i think that it's a good idea. A change of scenary is as good as a rest - and since i really don't have a grip on the concept of rest, a change of scenary will be the only way i'll achieve rest! if that makes any sense.

Erm, yeah. so back to revision. Right now i'm reading up on international feminst theory, and the more that i read of it, the more i like it (which is very unusal for me - normally, the more i read, the more i disagree, being the diagreeable old bint i am). I'm going to be a postmodern feminist at this rate.

A Brand New Sparkling Year!

i've started 2005 off in a productive vein. i have done no revision. Revision lackage is making me panic.

Will start tommorrow.

Instead, i've been helping mum clear out the loft. Unbelieveable amount of rubbish up there. Making lots of room to put all my rubbish in there when i come back in july. And had dinner with my grandad. it was yum yum, had it in the hotel where my auntie had her wedding reception when i was four.

Of course, this prompted all the stories of me being the most awful bridesmaid ever. I ran down the steps and ripped a very expensive but quite hidouis (in an 80s way) pink silk taffta dress literally in half at the waist. I spent half the church service running around screaming (I was four, and couldn't talk ok?) and was generally very scruffy, that sort of thing. There may have been mud involved. My hair looks like i'd been dragged through a ditch backwards in all the photos.

I was such a tomboy when i was little! What happened?
